This position will code and implement enterprise applications. This is an entry-level position responsible for development using C#, Visual Basic, WPF, C++, and SQL, and using the SDLC methodology. This position is the starting point of your career with the company; the objective will be to advance to the position of Software Engineer.

 

Duties:

  • Analyze business requirements and assist in the creation of technical design documentation.
  • Build high-quality, innovative, efficient software that adheres to coding standards and technical design, while satisfying business requirements.
  • Create required documentation for coding assignments.
  • Participate in detailed technical design and code reviews.
  • Assist in all phases of system testing.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional project team throughout all phases of the SDLC.
  • Perform coding in one or more languages.
  • Participate in continuous self-education within software technology and the brokerage industry.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of coding experience developing software solutions. Will consider a school environment acceptable experience.

  • Basic knowledge of a SQL language.

  • Basic Knowledge of C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript. Angular, ngrx/redux, TypeScript are a nice to have.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft® frameworks is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills; effective team player

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to prioritize work load and consistently meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management

EOE Physical/Environmental Characteristics:

Essential duties are performed in a general office work environment and regularly require eight (8) or more hours of sitting at a work station/desk while completing paperwork or using computers, calculators, copiers, fax machines and other business office machines and equipment. Essential duties may also involve: occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, walking, crouching, stooping and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store supplies or various office equipment, as directed. Compliance to security and safety procedures, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required.
